2-days advanced retreatment hands-on course
On this 2-days non-surgical endodontic retreatment course you will be updated on biological concepts and technical procedures on post treatment endodontic diseases. Clinical decision making strategies will be discussed on when a retreatment x surgical approaches should be applied for optimal outcomes. All participants will be trained under individual microscope on simulating 3D teeth, extracted teeth as well as on phantom head models. Both 2D x-rays and CBCT will be used to access all information before and after the treatment is completed. All procedures will be demonstrated by Dr. Debelian thru an operative microscope as well as through a new 3D camera transmitted to individual 2D and 3D monitors.
Access cavity - training on minimal invasive access cavity techniques and efficient technique to exposed obturated canals as well as throughing and chasing hidden and untreated root canals.
Retreatment procedures- 1- demonstration and practice on different retreatment protocols by removing intra-canal obturation materials using dedicated round burs, ultrasonic inserts and advanced adaptive niti rotary files. 2- demonstration on how to managed steps caused by previous endodontic treatment
Cleaning/irrigation - a comprehensive and evidence based irrigation protocol will be discussed, demonstrated and the participants will be using in all teeth treated during the course.
Managing Separated Endodontic Files - 1- Treatment planing using CBCT to remove separated instruments. 2- Predictable clinical protocol for dislodging and removing broken instruments. 3- Use of ultrasonic tips, XPe files, IRS system, Terauchi`s and EndoCowboy loops techniques.
Removal of post - clinical protocol on dislodging different types of post
Perforations -1- Treatment of coronal and apical perforations using a pre-mixed bioceramic material. 2- Reparation of furcation and strip perforations.
Xrays and CBCT analyses - at the end of the course all teeth treated by the participant will be individually analyzed by 2d xray technique. The teeth treated on the phantom head models will be individually analyzed by cbct technology.
